Drudges Two icon Drudges Two: Quick Intro

You attempt to move all of the letters from your side of the board by using them to form words on the other side.

Click your mouse's left button when positioned over a tile to pick it up; the cursor will change to the letter on the tile. Click your mouse's left button when positioned over a blank square to drop a tile; the cursor will change to the default arrow cursor.

You do NOT have to hold the left mouse button down to drag a tile: just click to pick a tile up and click to put a tile down.

At the start of a game the 15 x 15 board is divided in two by a horizontal or vertical row of barriers (depending upon Game Mode). Each side is populated with 49 letters randomly chosen from the pool of 98 (no blanks).

Your goal is to move all of the tiles from your side of the board to the other side.

On each turn you must move one or more tiles to form one or more words horizontally or vertically on the other side of the board. At least one tile must touch a tile on the other side of the board.

You receive 1 point for each tile move from your side of the board to the other side.

In 1-Player mode each time you successfully move letters from your side of the board corresponding letters from the other side are automatically moved to the vacated squares. You attempt to move all of your letters from your side to the other in as few moves as possible.

In 2-Player mode the players alternate moves. When one player moves all of his or her letters to the other side, the game ends. That player does not receive any bonus points. The player with the highest score wins, not the first player to "go out."

If you move one of your tiles from the opposite side of the board back to your side, you earn negative points (your score is reduced) because the tile changed sides in the wrong direction.

If you move one of your tiles from the opposite side of the board to another square on the opposite side of the board then you earn no points (your score remains unchanged) because it didn't change sides.

The same is true if you move one of your tiles from your side of the board to another location on your side of the board; your score remains unchanged because the tile didn't change sides.

After you form a word, if you choose the menu item "Help | Calculate Word's Points" the points for the play will be calculated for you.

The player with the highest score at the end of the game is the winner, not the first player to clear his or her side of the board.
